On the morning of Friday, October 4, a body wrapped in adhesive tape was found on the La Joya bridge.

Passersby using the scenic highway near the Tijuana-Rosarito border noticed a suspicious bundle and called emergency services.

Upon arrival, municipal police confirmed the discovery of a decapitated body wrapped in a brown blanket and red adhesive tape. Elements of the National Guard and the Mexican Army cordoned off the area, awaiting the arrival of forensic services to process the body.
